The house of Jil Sander is home to one of the most-talked-about shake-ups in recent memory: the exit of its longtime creative director, Raf Simons, and the return of its founder and namesake to the helm. Sander's first collection as reappointed head of her label will be her menswear, and those anxiously anticipating it won't have long to wait: She begins the Milan schedule with the first on-calendar show, at 10 a.m. on Saturday the 23rd. As for her predecessor? Milan will be Raf-free for the first time in seven years. (At the end of the last womenswear season, he told reporters he was leaving the city forever.) His own namesake menswear will be shown in Paris as usual, though earlier in the week than in seasons past, presumably to allow him more time to work on his own big debut: his first couture collection for Christian Dior, showing just days after the Paris menswear week ends.
